Who can join the Black Humanists and Non-Believers of Sacramento?

Anyone who in or outside the city of Sacramento can join and participate BHNBS as long as you agree with the purposes of the group.  

What is the mission of BHNBS?

The mission of the BHNBS is to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for Black individuals who identify as humanists, atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. They aim to foster community, promote social justice, and engage in cultural and educational activities that reflect their humanist values and secular worldview.

Who can attend book club meetings?

Anyone in and outside the Sacrameto area can sign up to attend our book club discussions which are held monthly online. We ask that you participate in the discussions on a regular basis even if you didn’t read the assigned chapters of a book. Register on our Meetup page to attend. 

Is there a membership fee?

There are no fees at this time; however, dedicated members do donate money to support the activities and events of the group. 

How does BHNBS support its members?

The BHNBS supports its members by organizing regular meetings and discussions, fostering a sense of community among Black humanists, atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. We also provide resources and opportunities for members to engage in social justice initiatives, community outreach, and cultural events.
